| When I completed the “Drive of Your Life” game, I discovered that my personal style profile was: creative, practical, and structured. The three careers that match my style are: actress, cartoonists, and fashion designer. From this information I have decided to explore becoming a fashion designer. I selected this job because I enjoy putting together outfits and making clothes and accessories. One of my daily activities as a fashion designer would be to design clothes and accessories. I also have to sketch detailed drawings of what the apparel or accesory will look like. In addition, I have to attend fashion shows to get ideas and find out the latest trends and styles.To work as a fashion designer, I need to get an associate's degree. I must be good at managing my time and mathematics in order to become a well trained fashion designer. In the United States, the average salary for a fashion designer is $71,400 per year. In the state of Virginia, the average annual salary is $46,518. In the United States by the year 2016, employment for a fashion designer is expected to increase by 5%. In the state of Virginia by the year 2016, it is expected to increase by 16.1 %. I am looking forward to becoming a fashion designer in the future. |
